We thought Ruth was best suited for high yield environments west of the Mississippi River, but we've learned from our customers she's the Two-Face of hybrids (Harvey Dent Corn, if you will).  You can managed for top end yields to win yield contests: irrigation/high rainfall, high populations, lots of N (280 lbs or more), and spoon-feeding throughout the season.  You can also manage with lower populations, compost extracts, and biology - which can cause the growth of tillers that produce full ears.  When accounting for tillers, Ruth has produced as many as four ears per plant.  Ruth does fine in corn-on-corn rotations - just watch for and manage potential diseases.  Do not bring North - Ruth should not be the latest hybrid in zone.

Pairs well with Olenna (RM 112) and Olive (RM 114), but give newcomers Louise (RM 111) and Maude (RM 114) a chance, too.
